Tianmen Chutian Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. is a fine chemical enterprise specializing in R&D, production and sales of pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediates. In 2011, as an investment project of Tianmen City, it entered Yuekou Industrial Park. Covering 90 mu with five workshops and eight synthesis lines, it has more than 80 employees, over 30% of whom are technical and managerial staff. After more than a decade of focus and continuous improvement, and with ongoing new-product development and capacity expansion, it was recognized as a Hubei High-tech Enterprise in 2017. Over more than ten years of growth, its production scale and overall strength have continued to increase.
Main products include 100 t/a of 2-chloro-1,4-naphthoquinone, 100 t/a of 6-methoxy-1-tetralone (6-hydroxy-1-tetralone; 6-benzyloxy-3,4-dihydro-2H-naphthalen-1-one), 50 t/a of D-ring intermediates, 150 t/a of 2-aminothiazole, and 100 t/a of Disperse Blue 360. Among them, 2-chloro-1,4-naphthoquinone is an important intermediate for atovaquone and buparvaquone. 2-Ethyl-1,3-cyclopentanedione and 6-methoxy-1-tetralone are intermediates for the contraceptive 18-methylnorethisterone, and tetralone series products are also used as intermediates for antitumor drugs. All products are chemically synthesized pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediates, featuring rational process routes, advanced technology, high quality and low overall energy consumption. Products are sold to large and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies at home and abroad as well as to organizations such as WHO, and enjoy a strong reputation.
The company attaches great importance to R&D and technological innovation. It has set up 2 synthesis laboratories and 3 analytical control rooms, equipped with HPLC, GC and other testing instruments to meet daily inspection and quality research needs. Most key products are covered by invention patents. The company currently holds more than 30 invention and utility model patents, and actively participates in GMP monograph revision and quality-standard improvement for multiple products.
